It is good

George: It's just not good. It's not good.
Jerry: It's not good.
George: I'm bored. She's boring, I'm boring. We're both boring. We go out to eat, we both read newspapers.
Jerry: Well, breakfast, everybody reads.
George: No. Lunch, we read. Dinner, we read.
Jerry: You read during lunch?
George: Yeah.
Jerry: Oh, well.
George: Nothing to talk about.
Jerry: Well, what's it to talk about?
George: Well, at least you and I are talking about there's nothing to talk about.
Jerry: Why don't you talk with her about how there's nothing to talk about?
George: She knows there's nothing to talk about.
Jerry: At least, she'll be talking.
George: Oh, shut up.

Workers (des)union

Union syndicale and Solidarité Européenne commenting on the work of the other union...

“… despite their constant use of lies and personal attacks;
but perhaps also DUE to that,
all the staff are beginning to see their true colours: their disparaging or even vicious remarks only mean one thing: they are weaker than they appear.

THAT DOES NOT INTIMIDATE U.S.: WE WILL FACE UP TO THEM, IN THE INTERESTS OF THE STAFF.

Appeal to the staff: judge by results. The moment of truth will soon be upon us.”

Coldplay, talk

[...]
I'm so scared about the future and I wanna talk to you
[...]
You can take a picture of something you see
In the future where will I be?

You can climb a ladder up to the sun
Or write a song nobody has sung
Or do something that's never been done

Are you lost or incomplete?
Do you feel like a puzzle, you can't find your missing piece?
Tell me how do you feel?

Well I feel like they're talking in a language I don't speak
And they're talking it to me
[...]
So you don't know were you're going, and you wanna talk
And you feel like you're going where you've been before

You tell anyone who'll listen but you feel ignored
Nothing's really making any sense at all

Let's talk, let's ta-a-alk
Let's talk, let's ta-a-alk

Gobbledygook: incomprehensible or pompous jargon of specialists.

Word origin

First used in a memo dated March 30, 1944, banning "gobbledygook language".
The author said he made up the word in imitation of turkey noise.

He went on to mock-threaten: "Anyone using the words activation or implementation will be shot".

What use can this insane/ignorant MEP can do of our [...] answer ?"

Gwen: It's not you, it's me.
George: You're giving me the "it's not you its me" routine? I invented "it's not you it's me". Nobody tells me it's them not me. If it's anybody, it's me.
Gwen: All right. Goerge, it's you.
George: You're damn right it's me.

- Oui... I also think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship, boss

Tyler Durden: How's that working out for you?
Narrator: What?
Tyler Durden: Being clever.
Narrator: Great.
Tyler Durden: Keep it up then... Right up.

Tyler Durden: Now a question of etiquette; as I pass, do I give you the ass or the crotch...?

Mermaids in postcards

Melusina is said to have been the wife of the founder of Luxembourg, Count Siegfried.

When they married, she had one particular request, namely that Siegfried must leave her alone for one full day and night every month. Melusina was such a beautiful girl, that Siegfried could not refuse her this one small wish.

All went well for years: on the first Wednesday of the month, Melusina would retire into her chambers in the "Casemates", a network of caverns underneath the city, not to be seen again until early light on Thursday.

But inevitably Siegfried's curiosity got the better of him and he peeped through the keyhole to find Melusina lying in the bathtub, with a fishtail hanging over the rim.

Since mermaids have a very keen sixth sense, she recognised her husband through the door and jumped out of the window into the river Alzette below, never to be seen again...

Although every now and then people say they saw a beautiful girl's head pop out of the river and a fishtail rippling its calm waters...

Para o tripnaarcada

W.C. reuniu as veias no Hotel Palácio e, revivendo, gritou 'Afastem de mim a Adília Lopes!'.

Depois de uma pausa, a mesma caligrafia prossegue: "We have to do it".

E, momentos depois, o acrescento final: "Nobody cares".

Pois. E preto no branco.
