Realidade sem ficção

Baby centre
Yes, the baby centre is THE place to be: it is overflowing with all the things we wish but are afraid to ask for (including beautiful young mothers :)
Here go the results of my quest, all suitable for kids under 3 and ranked according to "coolness":
- baby car (a quad that C can ride to create havoc at his parents' place)
- truck (to play with, not to ride; really cool)
- other truck (to play with as well; really cool as well)
- circus car (I don't like the concept of keeping animals locked up for the purpose of our entertainment but the truck is really nice and besides it is filled with little animals)
- Noah's ark (what? do I need to draw a picture? it's a boat and has lots of animals; the good thing is that it does not reproduce the concept of locking up animals for the selfish entertainment of humans, like the evil circus car above; it actually portraits the opposite idea, that of humans working hard to help animals to survive and repopulate the earth... so as to have them reproduce and be able to exploit them once more... well, I am not sure if C will be thinking a lot about these things as he unwraps the presents; anyway all this naturally comes at a slightly higher price)
- animal farm (same as the Noah's ark, just without Noah and without the ark; and adding the selfish exploitation of animals for the purpose of human feed)
- animal domino (a bit lame but still a classic! Comes in 2 sizes, medium and big)
- anti-transpiring and cooling cover for a baby car seat (a stupid present, especially in the eyes of the birthday man; the upturn is that it may actually be, like, useful; ok if you want to butter up the parents)
- little lamps to help you get through the night without fear (I am by principle against this - men should rely on the company of beautiful women for this task - so I did not bother to see how much they would cost)
And that is it.

Track of trek
Cinema ao ar livre, com as estrelas por onde anda o filme por cima da cabeça.
- Já não se usa demorar tanto tempo para... para o que quer que fosse e acontecesse durante o filme...
- O nosso almirante/capitão favorito olha para a nave Enterprise com mais lascívia do que se fora uma mulher
- Por falar em estruturas, as do planeta-Vger são bastante orgânicas; cheio de estrelas e ouriços do mar, pulsares de coração e movimentos de respiração
- Os efeitos especiais, a história e os diálogos parecem hoje tão infantis como o Vger, à procura do pai e de um tabefe
- Porque é que a estrutura que tinha amalgamado todo o conhecimento da galáxia não sabia comunicar se não em morse? Ou reconhecer o esquema mental do criador, afinal gravado em si mesmo, nas unidades baseadas em carbono?
- Tudo irrelevante, claro, porque é um clássico (interessante, pareceu-me que não seria o primeiro filme da saga; provavelmente porque se assume que se conhecem as personagens, vindas da série)
- Ah, a história: aparece uma nuvem, uma nave parte ao seu encontro, os tripulantes saem e limpam o pó a uma lata velha, fim de filme; live long and prosper

Porque é que usam aquele (belo) equipamento azul? Não é pela bandeira.

Until the end of the second world war the Italian flag had the Savoy coat of arms in the center and it was only after the family were overthrown, and the Italian Republic established in 1946, that the tricolor was adopted as the national flag.
