Passos perdidos

Alien sex fiend, portrait of a

A sad woman, head tilted.

So pale and with such dark eyes, she seems to be telepathically whispering 'take me to your leader'.

The painting

Noblemen heading to the battlefield, bloodshed started already.

The riders have their heads and eyes turned to us, having seemingly chosen to stop for a moment to have their picture taken.

Only the horses, facing the horror ahead and showing fright, are sane in their minds.

At the museum

She kept on babbling about how many quid she had spent on this and that.
And 'ohhhhhh, lovely'-ing this and that and that.

Then it crossed my mind.

Who is the more ridiculous? I am the one carrying a notebook like a bible!

Another notice

Death notices are stuck on the board, on the church's fence.

Dozens of them, one on top of other, on top of other.

The same template repeating, just the details varying, and everything is in them; the devil as well, sometimes.

Yellowed pages, weathered pages, cried-on pages. Even the papers die.

Death over death over death.

Little Rome

Little Rome, Krakow has 100 churches in the city centre alone.

In Wawel, on top of the church's massive blackened wooden doors, there people used to hang strange objects, so as to better be protected from them.

And so there they are, one now knows, the bones of a rhinoceros, of a whale and of a mammoth.

Main square

The square is a square, is a square. It is also a 200 by 200 m square.

It provides free wifi access, capable of filling the hollow Eros bronze head that was put down there, a million times over.

A huge billboard in this royal land; I see, it is King Brosnan the 007th, the timekeeper.

A little fable

'"Alas," said the mouse, "the world is growing smaller every day. At the beginning it was so big that I was afraid, I kept running and running, and I was glad when at last I saw walls far away to the right and left, but these long walls have narrowed so quickly that I am in the last chamber already, and there in the corner stands the trap that I must run into."

"You only need to change your direction," said the cat, and ate it up.'

Kafka

Drew: Thirty is the new twenty.

Terry: Yeah, well, you're thirty-five.

Drew: So? That only makes me twenty-five then.
