Staccato unhappiness
"Staccato [...] can now describe anything — not just sounds — made, done, or happening in an abrupt or disjointed way".
Talvez possa descrever a nossa (in)felicidade?

Guilt complex

Rock stars
We should give it to them
They are sharp;
in their 20s, they manage to come up with lyrics that capture and communicate the substance of what is in and around us (discard the "baby, I love you" babble); they write verses (even if they just happen to casually stumble upon them *) carrying insights that most of us mortals may not discover by the time we have kids their age;
And they are brave;
they dare to try to get it, and the girls with it, by playing, by giving it time, against ridicule, laziness and boredom of not knowing any better.
(*) interesting (old timer ?) prejudice here?

The good old times
Chris Cornell and friends
They were really professional, they carried the house (a small one, a true privilege);
even if his singing can be a bit theatrical at times - well, most of the times, really - but, oh well, he's a rock start, right ?

Cenas
Não sei que expectativas irrealistas contruí, ou como fui fazendo as escolhas que fiz, ou que raio aconteceu à margem da minha intervenção;

Dr Strange Love / On the beach

Pleasure, involvement, meaning
"Dr. Martin Seligman, a University of Pennsylvania research psychologist, [...] has boiled down true happiness to three components: pleasure (things that feel good), involvement (being immersed in things like family, work, and hobbies), and meaning (using personal strengths to serve a larger end).
Of the three, Seligman says, pleasure (the one most closely linked to material gain) is the least consequential, a finding that has been reaffirmed in numerous follow-up studies worldwide.
For example, studies by Dr. Ruut Veenhoven, a sociologist at Erasmus University in Rotterdam, show that the extremely poor - those earning less than $10,000 a year - may be rendered unhappy by the relentless stress of poverty. Yet [...] After a certain level of income, typically enough to meet basic expenses, money ceases to be a factor".
