The once and future and different king
As for the Lancelot part, I sense that the true story may have a different ending.
I heard that our once and future king is quite tired of this version that portrays him as having his old-trusted friend stealing his most beautiful bride from under his nose.
In fact, he has been long battling in courts to have the historical record set straight.
The true story, it seems, is that not only Lancelot was actually gay (a very bad thing to be in medieval times) but also that he got punched (*) in the nose when he tried to mess (**) with Guinevere.

(*) It was a gentle and lady-like punch, but still a punch.
