Lusos
1) Tribe of Lusus... uhm... not very informative, is it... though one senses there might be something in the tribe thing that we could build upon... a close-knit group, sharing traditions, lifestyles, words; joint defence of a livelihood of old, dances to hypnotic drumming, strange initiation ceremonies; plus, a topping of backward conservatism, inbreeding rednecks and soccer fans!
2) City of light... does have a nice ring to it... light promises something sunny, pristine, joyous! and the city part should not be thrown to waste, one needs a polis to have people, politics, cosmopolitanism and, most of all, running water! (societies that live in cities with flushing toilets are often called civilizations)
3) Bacchus' games... can probably be read as a wild celebration of life, a will to eat the marrow of now, a decision to live merrily and full, immersed in the temporal and thus raising to the spiritual; oh, a so promising - but surely frightening, potentially maddening - mystery.
