Wonderful

- this 3D thing is amazing; 20 years later, the goggles came back and left an impression, at least on me (also a headache, btw)

- nevertheless, I am divided between thinking that this is just a gimmick, an easy way to trick the audience into paying attention (all about form and not about content), or the beginning of a new era (that is starting with the expectable experimenting with the possibilities of the technology, things that may look basic, blunt or unsophisticated in the future); I wonder if this discussion also took place when we went from silent to sound movies, and from black and white to colour

- the directing is professional in conveying movement and impressive in treating the scenario and wardrobe; I think that here the 3D actually rends a bad service to the movie, because it puts to the foreground the wonderful choices of set, camera angle, colour scheme, etc.

- the plot starts from a very interesting and promising premise, i.e., Alice going back to Wonderland; but the actual storyline is, I find, a bit plain, and is played like something between the Lord of the Rings and Jeanne d'Arc

- having said this, a Wonderful movie
